Enjoy Island winner Amber Gill has joked that her sexuality now appears to be ‘painfully obvious’ when she watches back again clips from the truth sequence.
Gill appeared on Enjoy Island in 2019 and, in spite of remaining significantly picky with the boys in the villa, went on to win the demonstrate with past-moment bombshell and rugby player Greg O’Shea.

“Everyone was just like, ‘Oh, you are just definitely picky’, or ‘you’re just this’, or ‘just that’. And I’m like, ‘No, I just like ladies.’ But just one thing wasn’t clicking in my brain, I just wasn’t having it.”
Gill defined that, opposite to what some Really like Island followers consider, she truly didn’t realise that she was a lesbian when she signed up for the ITV sequence. That becoming claimed, she’s starting off to question if the clues have been generally there, and she had just refused to accept them.
“I imagine when you are more youthful there is so quite a few other points to be involved about, like you want to in shape in,” claimed the influencer.
“Like, I’m from Newcastle, I was the only mixed-race man or woman in the yr team. And so I was like, ‘I’m not heading to add yet another matter for men and women to one me out for.’
“So, I feel possibly I always did know but I just did not want to acknowledge it at all. I consider if I hadn’t moved down to London I never know how swiftly I would have recognized.”
Apart from a little resistance from a sure demographic of Love Island viewers, the reaction to Gill’s coming out has been “overwhelmingly constructive,” she suggests.
“Younger individuals are coming into my DMs stating how grateful they are that I am in the general public eye and I have done it, so they experience extra comfy to tell their pals or spouse and children, simply because of me,” she gushed.
“I get so significantly fulfillment from folks feeling additional comfortable in by themselves. And if I can be any assistance then I’ll shout it from the rooftop each day.”
