Star bodybuilder Gustavo ‘The Freakin’ Rican’ Badell has died aged 50.
He is recognized for facing off against some of the finest bodybuilders of all time.
Badell also completed in third location two times even though competing for the prestigious Mr. Olympia title.
His bring about of dying is unknown.
The sad information of his death was verified by fellow competitor and friend Eddie Abbew confirmed on Thursday (July 13).
He shared a picture of the pair of them collectively in their bodybuilding heydays, taken in Florence, Italy in 2007.
Reflecting on the interval of time, Abbew wrote on social media: ‘I bought to commit a weekend with Gustavo Badell.
‘We had a terrific chortle. We did a seminar together answering issues from the group. The crowd also watched us practice jointly. He was incredibly strong and place me to shame.
‘Later that year we competed at Mr Olympia jointly.’
On identifying his outdated good friend experienced died, he wrote: ‘I woke up this early morning to facts that Gustavo has handed absent.
‘My heart goes out to his household and pals. Gustavo was ten a long time more youthful than me. It is constantly unhappy when a younger man or woman is taken away extensive in advance of their time.’
‘Rest in peace Gustavo and know that you will be skipped. 🥲🥲’, he concluded.
Tributes then flooded the responses area.

Badell began his bodybuilding career when he was just 19.
He went on to earn his to start with levels of competition in 1991 at the Junior Caribbean Bodybuilding Championship.
Badell competed in some of the sport’s major occasions, like the Arnold Basic, World Professional Championships, Ironman Pro, and the Atlantic City Pro.
He retired from qualified bodybuilding in 2012, but ongoing to be lively on social media and promoted overall health and fitness.
