Pink reveals she ‘almost died’ of drug overdose aged 16

Pink has discovered that a tough childhood led her down a rocky route that saw her just about die of a drug overdose at just 16.

The singer opened up about her tumultuous teenage many years, which stemmed from “complicated” associations with her dad and mom in a new job interview with 60 Minutes.

The “Rock Star” singer instructed journalist Cecilia Vega that she applied to be the child that the other mom and dad didn’t want their young children to perform with.

“I was a punk, I had a mouth, I had a chip on my shoulder. Mainly, I grew up in a home the place, each and every day, my mother and father ended up screaming at each and every other, throwing factors, hated every other,” she shared.

The Grammy Award winner admits that a person argument she had with her mother was so negative that it got physical and her mother fell down the stairs. She describes the incident as her “one regret in life.”

“I was at a rave and I overdosed. I was on ecstasy, angel dust, crystal, all types of issues,” she claims.

“And then I was out. Completed. Also much”

When Vega requested Pink if she “almost died,” Pink admitted: “Yeah.”

Funnily enough, just weeks just after Pink swore off drugs, she landed her initially record deal with the R&B group Alternative.

Elsewhere in her interview, Pink spoke about the significance of making a safe room for enthusiasts at her concert events.

Requested about her feelings on her acceptance as opposed to her peers, she stated: “We’ve sold three million tickets in the very last 6 months. But you really do not truly listen to about it except if you went.
